Every great restaurant begins with a passion. Ours started in 2003, when Chef David began his culinary journey with a simple goal: to master the art of authentic Mexican cooking. Over the years, he worked in professional kitchens, refined his techniques, and gained valuable experience while staying true to the traditional recipes and flavors that inspired him from the very beginning.
After more than 15 years of dedication, hard work, and countless hours in the kitchen, Chef David and his family decided it was time to build something of their own. They dreamed of creating a place where every guest could experience the warmth of home, genuine hospitality, and authentic Mexican cuisine prepared with care.That dream became reality in November 2021 with the opening of Tacos Madre Mexican Cocina in Costa Mesa, California. Inspired by family recipes passed down through generations, the restaurant was built around one simple idea: serve honest food made fresh every day with quality ingredients and traditional Mexican flavors.
From the moment we opened our doors, Tacos Madre quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Guests embraced not only our food but also the welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel like family.Thanks to the incredible support of our community, Tacos Madre has continued to grow, expanding to multiple locations throughout Orange County. While our family has grown, our mission has remained the same: to deliver authentic Mexican food with consistency, quality, and heartfelt hospitality.
